The Unbelievable Undecided Voter

Every night on TV we hear talking heads spewing out information on the undecided voter, and how this mythical person is reacting to both campaigns for President.  Who is the undecided voter?  How can anyone be undecided in this election?  Does this undecided voter even have a pulse?

Seriously, the differences could not be clearer or more absolute between President Obama and Governor Romney.  Both have spent hundreds of millions of dollars on TV telling us where they stand on the issues (or not).  Both have participated in endless debates, forums and speeches laying out their positions.   And both have pretty much told us they will do the exact opposite of what the other one wants to do.

But here we now sit, less than a week from the election, and the decision of who will be the leader of the “Free World” is being left to a bunch of attention-deprived individuals sitting on their couch who can’t even decide what they will eat for lunch.   Is this really the person we want determining this important decision for us?

Maybe we can get someone to share with us the list of undecided voters in the country, and send them a letter telling them that this year they can vote on either Tuesday, November 6th or Wednesday, November 7th.  I, for one, am confident that they will not be able to make up their mind on which day they want to vote and will remain undecided and not participate.  That way, the decisions will be left to the rest of us who have taken the initiative to educate ourselves and are able to make reasoned and informed decisions.

Enough already!  Lets start the voting.

I understand your frustration, Michael. It would appear that anyone who really desired to know which candidate best meets the needs of this country would have read at least some of the myriad reliable media and made up his or her mind. It is not rocket science. This “indecision” smacks of procrastination to the nth degree.
